Lava lamp
Slow, glowing blobs in four colors. A retro screensaver for any screen.
A glowing lava lamp on your screen
Soft blobs slowly rise, merge, split and sink, just like a real lava lamp warming up. Choose from four color styles and leave it running as a relaxing screensaver, a mood light, or a retro background for a stream or party.
How to use it
- Pick a color style.
- Click Full screen or press F. The cursor hides after a few seconds.
- Press Esc or double-click to exit.
Lava lamp FAQ
Is this a video?
No. The blobs are calculated live in your browser, so their movement never repeats exactly.
Will my screen stay on?
In full screen, the page asks your device to keep the screen awake, which works in most modern browsers. For long sessions on a TV or monitor, also check its own sleep or power-saving settings.
Is it safe for OLED screens?
Moving scenes are much gentler than a still image, but on OLED screens avoid running anything at high brightness for many hours every day; see the disclaimer.
