Flashing light and photosensitivity

Many TrimSwap screens fill your whole display with bright or changing light: solid colors, the dead pixel test (especially with auto-advance), TV static, and color switching in full screen. A small number of people may have seizures or feel unwell when exposed to flashing lights or patterns, even if they've never had one before.

• If you or anyone watching has epilepsy or has had seizures, check with a doctor before using these screens.
• Stop immediately if you notice dizziness, eye or muscle twitching, blurred vision, disorientation or any discomfort.
• Lower your screen brightness and use the site in a well-lit room if bright screens bother you.

Pranks

The prank screens are harmless web pages: they can't install, update, break or access anything. The danger is real-world reactions. Someone who believes their computer is stuck updating may force it off and lose unsaved work, and someone who thinks their screen is cracked may panic. Only prank people who'll laugh about it, stay nearby, and end it (press Esc) as soon as they're upset or reach for the power button. See our Terms of Use for what's not allowed.

Screen tests and lighting

• The dead pixel test is a visual aid, not a professional diagnosis. Some faults only show under certain conditions. For warranty claims, follow your manufacturer's own testing and pixel policy.
• Colors look different on every display and depend on brightness, color settings and night/blue-light filters. The color codes we show are what the page sends to your screen, not a guarantee of what you'll see.
• The video call light can't be brighter than your screen allows.
• On OLED screens, showing one still image at high brightness for many hours can contribute to burn-in. Don't leave a single color or screen running for very long periods.

Fake work screens

The fake work screens are for fun. They don't keep you "online" in any real chat or work app, and they don't change your status anywhere. You're responsible for following your school's or employer's rules.

No affiliation

The work and prank screens are original look-alike designs. TrimSwap is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any software, operating system or app maker, and any similarity to real products is for parody and entertainment. All names, companies, messages, documents and figures shown are fictional.
